Wendy Wasserstein’s final play takes place at a small New England college. Laurie Jameson, a professor has an interaction with a student, Woodson Bull, III. The professor accuses him of plagiarism when he turns in an assignment that she believes is above his academic ability because of his differing political beliefs. The play deals with issues of stereotyping and identity politics, as well as generational and family issues.
