Nativity according to the Gospels

Nativity According to the Gospels

This holiday season, the 40+ Stage Company presents Nativity According to the Gospels. This family-friendly pageant tells the story of the birth of Christ from a grandmother's point of view. It's presented in a West African motif, using gospel music, African rhythms, and a variety of dance styles and spoken word to tell the story.

''Nativity'' is performed during a season that we celebrate to bring hope, joy, and unity to all people.

Our production brings together talented local artists of various disciplines and ages. The creative team offers exciting and flawless sounds by Maestro Tony Gillion, festive and intriguing costumes designed by Frenchie Laverne Slade, with scintillating lights and scenery by Professor Arthur Reese, all enveloped under the direction and choreography of celebrated artist Mabel Robinson of Broadway and film and who formerly served as artistic director of the NC Repertory Company and producer of the National Black Theatre festival.
