Coming in May — The Old Settler
Director Robin T. Rich-McGhie will be staging the John Henry Redwood play, The Old Settler. Set in Harlem in the 1940's, Elizabeth and Quilly are sisters of a certain age sharing their quiet lives together, but when they take in Husband Witherspoon, a handsome young boarder, their entire world changes abruptly.
Husband, fresh from the country and adjusting to life in the big city, is on a desperate search for his missing fiancée, but ends up finding love in the most unlikely of places.
The Old Settler will be presented in the Gallery Theater, The Intergenerational Center for Arts and Wellness, 114 West 30th Street, Winston-Salem, NC, 27105. The show will have its opening night performation on Friday, May 10th. Tickets are available at the Arts Council Box Office (call (336) 747-1414 for details), or are available for purchase online.

A creative lifestyle in the afternoon years has a demonstrative positive effect in overcoming depression, isolation, addiction, and a host of conditions often associated with growing older.
