Moments With Paul is a powerful chronicle of the life of Paul Robeson that takes us from his childhood in New Jersey to his adult life as one of the most recognized figures in the world. An All-American athlete in four sports, valedictorian at Rutgers and an Ivy-league educated lawyer, Robeson faced the racism prevalent during the twentieth century. As an actor and singer, Mr. Robeson became one of the most recognizable figures in the world. He used his platform as an entertainer to artist to become a human and civil rights activist who spoke out against racism and oppression in the United States and abroad. The attention he received and his sympathetic stance toward Communism caused the US Government to effectively silence him during his prime earning and performing years.

In this 40+ Stage Company production, Jason McKinney portrays the great Paul Robeson and pianist and actor Christopher Bagley, portrays the role of Robeson’s musical collaborator, Lawrence Brown.
